About Us

Early Wilden Industrial Estates in 1967

Wilden Industrial Estates Ltd is an independent family owned company offering high quality industrial property to let at Halesowen West Midlands and Wilden near Stourport-on-Severn Worcestershire.

Our primary site is Wilden Industrial Estate, which is conveniently situated in Wilden village just over a mile from the A449 Hoobrook Island, Kidderminster.

Adjoining open countryside, yet with good road access to the West Midlands and the Motorway Network, Wilden Industrial Estate extends to approximately seventeen acres.

We are able to offer a good mix of both newly built and refurbished industrial units ranging from 1,500sq.ft. to 21,000sq.ft., plus various secure storage yards and the estate also benefits from an excellent congestion free road system with generous parking facilities.

With our on-site estate management office, we pride ourselves on our friendly and flexible approach to our tenant's requirements.

Our wide range of successful Tenants find it to be an ideal environment from which to operate their thriving businesses, many of them started out as fledgling companies on the estate, gradually expanding and have now become well established, some for over thirty years!

Industrial Property To Let

Wilden Industrial Estate was established in 1964 when Harold Pearson and Malcolm Lee formed a partnership to buy and develop the former Wilden Iron Works of Richard Thomas and Baldwin Ltd.

By today's standards the quality of accommodation offered back then would be considered extremely basic, however it matched the requirements of the time and the estate became very popular. In September 1967, a two-page feature in the Birmingham Post reported that Wilden Industrial Estate was thriving and that development of the site had restored prosperity to Wilden village.

The owning partnership was dissolved in 1984 when Harold Pearson retired and Malcolm Lee was able to buy the Pearson Family's shares. Malcolm Lee immediately commenced a much needed investment program to improve the Estate, as by this time, the Severn Trent River Authority had diverted the River Stour, which previously ran through culverts under buildings and out through the centre of the estate. Reclaiming the old riverbed, plus the purchase of farmland severed by the river diversion, produced a further three acres of potential industrial development land. At the same time a 40,000sq.ft building became vacant so the opportunity was taken to split this up into ten smaller units.

Wilden Industrial Estates Today

When Malcolm Lee died in 1993, his son Kelvin took over the business and immediately brought in a full time estate manager Clive Felton to look after the day to day running of the estate. Since that time the estate has been transformed, benefiting from an extensive investment program, which has included the refurbishment of existing buildings, building an entirely new road system with generous car parks, and the construction of new industrial units, the most notable being the 21,000sq.ft. Polyplas building completed in 2006.

We have a policy of continued investment in the construction of new industrial units, the constant upgrading of existing properties and the gradual improvement of all estate services. When units become vacant we always refurbish and upgrade them to modern standards before re-letting to new tenants. The Estate has a large area of land is still available for future development.
